David Patterson - Project Director

David Patterson gained 20 year's general managerial experience, including strategy and planning, sales and marketing and supporting change programmes in the food distribution industry, before enrolling at Sheffield University to study for an Information Systems MSc. Recently he has worked for Business Link South Yorkshire, where he provided business development advice and investment support to local SMEs, and developed a special interest and enthusiasm for learning technologies and the computer game industry. David has maintained a close link with the University and utilises the network to continue his research interest in e-learning and information systems. 

Gill Broadhead - Director of Learning and Development

Gill Broadhead has specialised in Learning & Development programme design and implementation that optimises learning technologies, for more than 15 years. Previously as a Learning and Development Consultant for the Royal Mail and prior to this as a training manager for BT.

More recently Gill has worked with organisations to develop blended learning programmes utilising the power and flexibility of e-learning to engage hard to reach learners in prison and in the community. She has also worked closely with the awarding organisation WAMITAB to develop a level 2 qualification and a learning programme that utilises e-learning for operatives working in the recycling sector.

Gill's enthusiasm to further promote and demonstrate the use of e-learning to achieve effective learning outcomes reflects Learning Light's role in this growing sector
